Purpose
The Network is committed to providing events in a safe and supportive environment for all. It is The Network primary purpose to provide focused programs and services that enrich the lives of those in our community. The Network seeks to set an example by providing services and programs that are responsive to the needs of the Civil Society.
The Network provides events to a diverse range of individuals and groups for a variety of purposes. These purposes include but are not limited to support, organising, activism, socialising, networking and rehearsing.
The Network embraces the community’s rich diversity of identities and experiences. It is for this reason that we aim to ensure The Network retains events where everyone feels welcomed. Therefore, no group or individual attending a Network's event shall engage in hate speech or bigotry of any kind. Engaging in or advocating violence is strictly prohibited. Engaging in illegal activities at events is strictly prohibited.
The Network maintains the right to restrict or reject any group or individual whose presence at or use of The Network negatively impacts other groups and/or individuals that use The Network.
The Network is a non-denominational, non-partisan organisation and does not support or endorse activities held at its events. Activities held at The Network's events must neither conflict with nor interfere with The Network's-sponsored or The Network's-produced programming. When such conflicts arise, The Network programming will be given priority.
The Network is committed to good-faith cooperation and partnership with all individuals and groups attending events and will make all reasonable effort to resolve conflicts when they arise. Should grievances occur, they will be addressed in the manner prescribed in the Terms & Conditions. (see below, scroll down)
Terms and conditions & membership rights and obligations:
1.Member agrees to pay the annual fees by standing order or recurring payment via Paypal established for its Membership Class, as may be amended from time to time. The Membership is for named individuals and is not transferable.
2.Compliance with Policies. Member agrees to abide by, and shall have all applicable rights and obligations as set forth in The Network Intellectual Property Rights Policy (the “IPR Policy”), GDPR Policy, and any and all additional policies and procedures adopted by The Network, as any of these may be amended from time to time in accordance, all of which are hereby incorporated by reference.
3.Suspension and Termination. The Network shall have the right to suspend participation, or cancel the membership, of Member if it (i) fails to pay its annual fees on time, or (ii) violates any of the The Network's standards, or (iii) any Member behaving in a manner obnoxious to others at events organised by The Network, or (iv)who introduces a guest who misbehaves in a manner considered by the organiser to be offensive. No refunds of Membership fees or other payments will be given.
4.Logos and Names. You grant The Network the right to use your organization’s name and logo on the The Network's website and on related marketing materials, solely to indicate your membership in The Network. As long as you remain a member in good standing, you may use The Network's name and logo, in the format and with the notices provided or requested by The Network, solely to indicate your membership in The Network.
5.Force Majeure. Neither The Network nor Member shall be liable hereunder by reason of any failure or delay in the performance of its obligations hereunder on account of strikes, shortages, riots, insurrection, fires, flood, storm, explosions, acts of God, war, governmental action, labor conditions, earthquakes or any other cause which is beyond the reasonable control of such party.
6.Intellectual Property Rights policy The Network Intellectual Property Policy governs the ownership, content of its website and management of The Network. This policy applies to all management and members and extend to guests and guest speakers.
7.Limitation of Liability. IN NO EVENT WILL EITHER THE NETWORK OR MEMBER BE LIABLE TO EACH OTHER OR TO ANY OTHER MEMBER OR THIRD PARTY UNDER THIS AGREEMENT FOR THE COST OF PROCURING SUBSTITUTE GOODS OR SERVICES, LOST PROFITS, LOST REVENUE, LOST SALES, LOSS OF USE, LOSS OF DATA OR ANY INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, DIRECT, INDIRECT, PUNITIVE, OR SPECIAL DAMAGES, WHETHER OR NOT SUCH PARTY HAD ADVANCE NOTICE OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH LOSSES OR DAMAGES. EXCEPT FOR MEMBER’S DUES COMMITMENT, OR IN CASES OF WILLFUL MISCONDUCT OR GROSS NEGLIGENCE, OR WHERE REQUIRED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF THE NETWORK TO MEMBER AND TO OTHER PARTIES, AND OF MEMBER TO THE NETWORK, TO OTHER THE NETWORK MEMBERS OR TO OTHER PARTIES, SHALL NOT EXCEED THE PAST 12 MONTHS’ MEMBERSHIP FEES PAID BY THE MEMBER TO THE NETWORK.
8.The governing laws are those of England and Wales.
9.GDPR:
a. The Network is fully compliant and does not need to register with the Information Commissioner.
b. The Network does not hold any financial data and only use email, addresses or telephone numbers as people join us, and as such all our members have opted in, for the sole purpose of advertising our events.
c.We do not exchange or sell or give any of the above data outside the committee.
d.If Members ask to be in touch with another Member, The Network blind copy the response and it is up the person concerned to be in touch or not.
Sponsorship gives you the opportunity to place your banner and all your promotional material in the venues where we host our social and networking events and make a presentation for about 6 minutes with Q & A at the end. It also offers a reception drink to all attendees.
